Breitling has long been purveyor of chronographs for professional and amateur pilots, having designed models such as 1942’s Chronomat from the ground as a no-nonsense instrument for use in the cockpit.

The Chronomat line has evolved significantly since those early days, but they have retained the aeronautical influence and added additional features such as enhanced water resistance and chronometer-grade accuracy.

This particular model, a Chronomat Evolution GMT Reference A1335611, draws inspiration from earlier references produced in the 1980s. Housed in a 44mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal, it features a fluted screw-down crown, screw-down pushers, and a steel unidirectional timing bezel with matching steel ‘rider’ tabs, it features a blue-gray dial with applied luminous indices, a tachymeter scale, a triple-register chronograph, a matching handset, and a handy date window at 3 o’clock.

Powered by the automatic, Breitling Calibre 13 movement, it comes paired to a signed black leather strap with a signed steel pin buckle, and includes factory booklets and warranty papers.
